Hitachi Communication Technologies America, Inc. (HCTA) was formed in April of 2009 from the combination of Hitachi Telecom (USA) and Salira Systems. The company unifies development and delivery of Hitachi's advanced solutions for communications service providers. HCTA solutions give service providers a wide selection of options for building wire line and wireless networks.

Hitachi has served the North American market from their headquarters in Norcross, Georgia for more than 30 years. The addition of R&D; centers in Santa Clara, CA, Richardson, Texas and Shanghai, China give HCTA the ability to better serve the market with advanced solutions.

HCTA specializes in communications products and services for the Cable, ILEC, CLEC, Municipal and Utility markets. Areas of focus include: optical access systems (PON), optical transport systems (DWDM, SONET), mobile gateways (MME/LTE), CPE gateway products (OSGi) and other technologies that enable new services on next generation networks.

Hitachi innovations encompass the broadest range of Passive Optical Network Fiber-to-the-Premises solutions on the market. These platforms include IEEE-compliant EPON, ITU compliant GPON, Multi-Wavelength PON (MW-PON), DOCSIS® managed PON( DePON) and RF over Glass (RFoG). Hitachi's FTTP applications can be bundled with Source-to-Subscriber™ services that enable immediate revenue from voice, video and data subscribers. HCTA's transport products form the second largest installed base of 10Gbps long haul and ultra long haul fiber optic network equipment in North America. HCTA's Multi-Carrier Power Amplifiers (MCPAs) for wireless infrastructure are another of Hitachi's network innovation.
