Hitachi Partners with Falcon IP/Complete for Facilities-based Video Services in FTTP Installations

--Solution offers a scalable, economical method of providing MPEG-4 IPTV services to communities using satellite-based technology--

ATLANTA, GA, August 25, 2008 - Hitachi Telecom (USA), Inc. today announced that the company has teamed up with Falcon IP/Complete of Malden, Missouri, to provide a fully integrated MPEG-4 IPTV solution for service providers who are implementing Hitachi's AMN1220 Gigabit Passive Optical Network Fiber to the Premises solution. The combined solution is especially suited for municipalities, master planned communities and telcos that provide triple play services to rural areas and smaller communities that need a source for their own competitive video offering.

Channel lineups are flexible, and currently include 180 standard definition and 32 HDTV channels, along with 56 music channels, and all local channels.
