Hitachi's portfolio of Salira Network Management Systems combines network management, service creation and subscriber management in one integrated system.
Salira Network Management Systems are designed to simplify and reduce the cost of network management. This complete portfolio of network management systems includes the Java-based Salira Access Management (SAM), Salira's fully-featured Command Line Interface (CLI) program and a web-based version of CLI called WebSAM. Salira's portfolio of Network Management Systems combines network management, service creation and subscriber management in one integrated system. This diverse and flexible portfolio is designed to meet your specific network management needs.

Salira Access Management (SAM) - The most robust management system offered for the Salira platforms; SAM is a Java-based, platform-independent NMS which utilizes a client/server architecture. SAM uses menus and a Graphical User Interface (GUI) to manage the network. SAM also displays the network in a tree view. It is capable of managing up to 50 OLTs and all sub-tended ONUs at the same time. SAM uses menus and a graphical user interface to manage the network. It displays the network in a tree view. By combining these functions in a single platform with a menu-driven, Graphical User Interface (GUI), SAM helps simplify and reduce the cost of network management and operator training. It is designed to allow multiple operators from different locations to connect to a centralized SAM server for management of all Salira equipment within the network. SAM includes numerous labor-saving tools including an optical budget calculator and alarm correlation for expedited fault isolation.
WebSAM - Hitachi created WebSAM so that operators would be able to manage network elements using standard Internet browser software. This can facilitate an operator's ability to perform network configuration and maintenance from remote locations.
CLI - To serve operators who prefer to use Command Line Interface (CLI) language to manage the network, Hitachi continues to support a fully-featured CLI management system.
